Teaching

Dr Zicat has been involved in teaching for over 20 years.

He teaches medical students from Sydney University at Concord Hospital, and from the University of Notre Dame at the Mater Hospital.

He teaches unaccredited registrars in orthopaedics at Concord Hospital.

He has been clinical supervisor of the orthopaedic surgery trainees of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons at Concord Hospital, and continues to teach the orthopaedic surgery trainees at Concord Hospital and the Mater Hospital.

He has been supervisor of two Australian Orthopaedic Association accredited joint replacement fellowship positions for over 15 years. These fellowships are generally offered to fully trained orthopaedic surgeons from overseas who are looking to expand their knowledge of advanced techniques in hip and knee joint replacement and revision surgery.

During your time with Dr Zicat in the rooms or in hospital, you may have the opportunity to meet some of these trainees as part of their ongoing education.
